As a Student Affairs intern at John Muir college, I worked in a team of 3 where I focused on using my design skills as a means to create interaction between student’s and staff more accessible and meaningful.

Although this section showcases the final results of my time here, the timeline below provides a detailed breakdown of my accomplishments & key projects. These contributions highlight not only the structural improvements I implemented but also the visual elements that continue to resonate with students.
Before
I started with graphics for affiliated orgs under muir college council which then scaled into Student Affairs.
After
By the end, departments that I helped as during my time had helped cross -channel : Student Affairs, Student orgs, and Interal Pro-Staff I need for Student events.

Sun God self care
My first ever project.
This project (sticker and coloring sheet) even though small, still carries so much value to me as it is still being printed and distributed by not only the college but by independent student stores and seen around student laptops.

Orientation Leader Spotlights
Photoshoot and graphics exclusively for 28+ students who are going to lead and and introduce the class of 2026 to Muir College and show them the resources.
September 2022
Newletter revamp
Updated the newsletter graphics for social media to be more inviting as well as cohesive with our weekly email letter sent out. This is used to announcement any events happening in the week.
September- October 2022
Mascots make way
The start of the mascots for Muir. Made the Muir College Academic Advising Mascots/Branding: Leaf, Flower, and Tree.
Established a visual language that would direct student information to be digestable through polysemy. Students are symbolized by the leaves, academic advising interns by the flowers, and mentors by the trees, reflecting growth and guidance throughout the process.

Cultural Conversations Series
Graphics for events designed to create a judgment-free space where students can openly discuss and explore their personal identities.

Halloweek
Graphics for a weekend full of spooky events for students. Took inspiration from rubber hose animation and also made story post witch themed flyers for interns to post to post for their events in an array of colors.

News Letter Revamp
There was a clear lack of photos of the college and with the direction of Interal Staff, I made changes to the Muir words social media graphics and took photos each quarter that would becoming the visual branding backgrounds around Muir College Campus.
Februray 2023
Palentine
Events graphic for directions and t-shirt design made for the Valentine day event. Merch inventive alongside a build a bear frog fostering an inclusive, gender-neutral celebration of platonic friendships.

Student Affairs Spotlight

Orientation Leaders Photoshoot
30+ photoshoots and created personalized video graphics of Orientation Leaders for social media, helping new students get to know them.

Welcome week
Graphics and merch made to incentivize incoming freshman students. Heavily inspired by “that’s so raven” and Grand Theft Auto to appeal to all demographics by using nostalgia.

Summer Send Off + Middle of Muir Merch
Created graphics for a large outdoor event fostering unity alongside some Muir t-shirts.

Our weekly newsletter was update via both mailchimp and social media to ensure that it progressed alongside the students via visual cues like seasonal flora change.

Created 11+ personalized graphics for two departments, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic that aligned their visual identities and supported their frequent collaboration for their student interns.

Mascots updated
Updated existing foundations for both Student affairs and Academic Advising to funnel resources via mascot use. Sunflower is used to depicted Student Affairs Also made some printables/products (Table runner and PDFS with their information) as well as digital marketing (email banner, Digital Signage for café / kiosk). These were used for relaying information to student's.

Created Coraline themed Graphics to be used in both digital and physical. This includes Instagram story and square size + Digital Marketing Ad size PX(1400x1000)
Feburary 2024
Palentine
Printable graphic for directions and digital marketing for Palentine event. Focused on maximizing the cuteness factor for student engagement for the inclusive, gender-neutral celebration of platonic friendships.
April - June 2024
Muir Merch
Merch made for student orgs such as Totebags designs, Bottle Designs, Stickers, and even wearable merch to sell at M.O.M's cafe, the local coffee shop.

Muirtendo
Created merch for a week long event that includes the following: 9 sticker designs, 1 tote bag design, 1 t-shirt design and some menu and calendar print-ables for a week long celebration with my co-chair . Assisted 10+ programming welcome week members with designing their event flyers.
